Still Falls the Rain is a graduation short film written, directed and produced by Miguel Santana, who also completed all 38 Visual Effects shots.

Shot on the Red Epic & Arri Ultraprime lenses. The musical score was recorded with a 40-piece orchestra, which is why Still Falls the Rain is best experienced in HD, full volume, and fullscreen!

The digital animation programme equips students with the high level of skills needed to succeed in today’s animation industry. It emphasizes creativity, character design, story, cinematography, VFX and compositing 3D and Games Art; all channelled through the advanced software skills needed to achieve inventive and engaging animation. These programmes develop digital modelling and character animation skills, virtual lighting and virtual camera work, exposing students to the latest professional 3D animation practices. The students create short animated final films or fully playable games levels. Employment opportunities include computer animation companies, work with games, TV and film special effects companies. Our graduated students have worked and freelanced with some of the world’s best known production and post production houses.

World War was created by Vincent Chai for his final degree project whilst studying 3D Animation at the University Of Hertfordshire.

Vincent Chai who graduated in 2009 from the University of Hertfordshire’s Digital Animation Programme recently won the Best Animation Award with his film World War at Festival Filem Malaysia, the largest film and animation award show in Malaysia, beating a host of film and TV production companies in the process.
